If you haven’t been duped by getting rugged, you are one of the lucky ones.
Getting rugged sucks! I honestly went against my normal standards when I minted ADA Police.
I believe the mint was like 25 ADA, and I minted 4. The project had an active discord, twitter, all the project links worked, and they proudly boasted on their website they were starting their own blockchain, which seemed interesting.
But the dev wasn’t doxxed. (NFA, DYOR) HUGE red flag for me. He was supposed to do some Twitter spaces, but bad luck kept striking him, (No phone service, then a traffic accident) and he couldn’t make either one before the mint. Guess bad luck strikes in 3.

So, without really knowing too much beyond what I heard from others, I still minted. Honestly, all the bad breaks seemed like normal, plausible life stuff. I was still new to the world of NFT’s.
Not long after mint the dev disappeared for a few weeks. Nobody heard from him. Then he actually came back to the discord one day and claimed that the project’s wallet was robbed the day after mint. He actually said he doesn’t know how this could happen, because nobody knew any of his passwords.
Then he was gone again, and shortly afterwards the discord was too.
The project is now tagged on JPG as a Rugpull. Thankfully, I didn’t spend a lot, but it feels pretty crappy knowing this was just someone who planned to walk away with the ADA.
People in the discord tried to take over the project, but the dev was gone with the money and all passwords, so the project died. Be vigilant out there, and always Do Your Own Research.
